About NetYard
NetYard helps a small shop stand up a proper network without Microsoft Server. Microsoft Small Business Server and Essentials are gone, but a 12-person shop still needs logins, a file share and guest Wi-Fi. NetYard writes the plan for Samba on Debian and hands over the install scripts.
The owner, or whoever runs IT, answers six questions about the shop. NetYard then produces an IP plan and VLANs, including guest and camera networks when asked for; a Samba Active Directory setup so Windows PCs can join a domain without a Microsoft CAL; Debian install scripts, a user CSV, a WireGuard VPN stub and a firewall matrix; and a shopping list with street prices next to the Windows Server license math. Internal DNS uses .lan so it does not fight mDNS .local.
The wizard and scripts are free to use on the site, including a worked example for a 12-person plumbing shop.
